Fowler Smith Sustainability Initiative - Tree Planting

At Fowler Smith Mortgages & Protection, we are always aiming to add value. We look to add value to everybody we communicate with - it's our overall mission. Clients. Colleagues. Peers. Community.

Now, with our latest initiative we are going to be extending that even further and giving back to the environment.

As ever, we're increasingly conscious of our carbon footprint. We use less paper, recycle, have re-usable glass water bottles in the office instead of throwaway plastics.

We pride ourselves on consistently aiming to provide a positive impact in everything we do.

This is why I am exceptionally proud to announce that going forwards, for every mortgage completed each month, we will be planting a tree.

We are doing so via a certified B corporation, Treeapp. This allows us to demonstrate that we as a firm and as individuals are committed to taking as many steps as possible to reduce our carbon footprint even further and give back to the environment.

Personally, forests are incredibly important to me. Growing up next to Epping Forest, being surrounded by nature and trees has become part of my identity. Even now, a family walk through the woods provides an irreplaceable reset for me.

Trees are undeniably vital and deforestation around the world is something we cannot ignore.
